Went to a travel event this week talking about the Med and surrounding areas. Had to sit through some of the most boring, badly prepared presentations between a few gems. One of the loud and clear messages was – be careful about purchasing on the internet unless you deal with known suppliers, such as airlines/shipping lines. Many consumers have problems with bookings, so beware, use the internet for research, but there is no substitute for a good travel agent that knows their product.
