John’s Out of Hospital
Words & Pictures: John Pond, Editor at Sea – Cruise Passenger Magazine. Boy, is it great to be out of hospital. They looked after me very well but it’s so good to be home and in front of my master computer reading information about cruising. I have to go to rehab twice a week for the next month, then lots of exercises at home.
One of the interesting things whilst at the hospital was that all the patients wanted to talk to me about cruising and I had Sandra bring several back issues of Cruise Passenger Magazine to the hospital, they disappeared within seconds.
Watched MasterChef on Channel 10 each evening from my bed and was delighted to see an episode featuring Pacific Jewel where the contestants had to prepare canapés for the Sail Away Party for 2000 passengers. It was a very interesting episode and showed the complex galley arrangements on this most popular ship.
Again thanks to those of you who sent me emails for a speedy recovery, I hope to be running up gangplanks in the not too distant future.

Dear John
Welcome back to home life, now Sandra has the nursing jobs, be kind to her…Glad you survived the hospital experience and spread the good cruising word around to everyone.
It sure is cold out in the west, a good warm cruise would be great about now, any suggestions? Love to you both, Rhondda
